1900-The Early Years
.
Prior to 1904 Lottie Wright began studying her Bible very carefully, where upon she discovered that the Bible Sabbath was the Seventh-day of the week.  She began to observe the Sabbath on Saturday and was soon joined by her father, mother and an aunt.

Lottie and a Mrs. Austin, working as colporteurs, met others interested in the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Elder F. C. Gilbert held evangelistic meetings in the Framingham – Natick area at the time and this culminated in the organization of the first company of Seventh-day Adventists.  There were about 20 charter members among whom were Mr. and Mrs. Blood Sr., Mr. and Mrs. William Wright and their daughter Lottie, Rhoda Miles, Mrs. Austin, Mrs. Dadman and her 3 daughters, and Mrs.Cripps.  The small group met in homes, in a hall in the West Natick Community Church, and their final rented quarter, the First Baptist Church.
