The Groundbreaking Ceremony took place on April 5, 1970.  Construction lasted until November of the same year.  (See photos of the building being erected-follow link below)

Pastor Yeagley presided over the construction period and completion.
The entire construction cost $139,598.28.  The church had a mortgage of $11,387.28

The congregation joined together on December 6, 1970 in their first service in the new building.  On February 20, 1971 the church held its Dedication Service.

During these 20 years, the church had several treasurers.  They were Roland Miller, Priscilla Mesar, Margaret Benoit and finally Jim Barnes (1989) who was also Head Elder.

During this period the church saw its membership increase and in 1981, under Pastor Badillo, the church had 81 members.  A year later, the clerk wrote on her notes “The church has a reputation of being a friendly church and on each Sabbath hosts many visitors” –Ruth Mattsen.
